The evangelical Church has worked diligently over the past three decades to save the lives of the unborn, but we have yet to establish ourselves as a safe place for those that have survived abortion, a place in which they can find love and acceptance, hope and healing in Jesus Christ. Generally speaking, we have yet to compassionately embrace the men and women - the mothers, fathers, family members, friends, and medical personnel - whose lives have been devastated by abortion. As other issues have been in the past, abortion is still "in the closet" where the Church is concerned.
