May 09, 2007News & UpdatesHeartbeat International Conference The Heartbeat Conference went beautifully! My delightful daughter, Jenna, accompanied me on this trip to help me "man" our exhibit table and generally to keep me company. This was a first for her and the women of the conference made her feel like "one of the girls!" Thanks to all that complimented and encouraged her. Also, if I'm not mistaken, this was the first time Heartbeat has had an abortion recovery workshop track as a part of their annual conference. Stacy Massey of ARIN did an incredible job... ...of choosing the best of the best to lead these workshops (myself excluded!). I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these other leaders better and was delighted by what I saw as top-notch professionals with a passion for those wounded by abortion. Thanks, Stacy, for inviting us to teach at Heartbeat and for doing such a wonderful job of organizing everything. If you don't know Stacy or ARIN, get to know them! Also, if you were unable to attend the Heartbeat conference, you may still order tapes of the workshops. Go to their conference page for details. Coming Up at IOM! Job Opportunity with IOM! I refer all the time to Safehaven, I think its wonderful. I was so glad to hear you on Midday Connection. Our development director is using your book as a resource in our effort to engage the chuches in our efforts to reach hurting men and women, just a small bulletin insert over just a few months will produce a steady flow of wounded people seeking Jesus. The question I'd like to pose is this, do you have materials that you would recommend to minister to those men and women who have participated in abortions in the medical field, but have not had an abortion themselves. God has ordained a few meetings lately and I'm at a loss for what to offer. I am not a professional counselor and I feel that I offer the best care when I have a trusted tool in my hand to guide the process. Thank you, Maria Shore
