In Our Midst Ministries is proud to announce the opening of an abortion recovery center in Loveland, Colorado. More...

A Safe Place is a safe, confidential center where anyone wounded by abortion can find compassionate abortion recovery services. Services include individual and group abortion recovery for women (mothers), and for men (fathers) directly affected by abortion, as well as for others indirectly affected. A Safe Place provides a monthly general support group for those that have completed the recovery group study as well as professional counseling referrals as needed. Additional services include training and certification for abortion recovery facilitators (coaches), conference and event speaking, training and ongoing support for pregnancy resource centers and churches, as well as testimonies for groups, churches, etc.

Why In Our Midst Ministries Was Established

Although the evangelical Church has worked diligently over the past three decades to save the lives of the unborn, we have yet to establish ourselves as a safe place for those that have been hurt by abortion to find hope and healing in Jesus Christ. Generally speaking, we have yet to compassionately embrace the men and women - the mothers, fathers, family members, friends, and medical personnel - whose lives have been devastated by abortion. Abortion, as with other issues in the past, is still "in the closet" where the Church is concerned.

Sadly, most pastors and ministry leaders are unaware of how abortion affects the lives of those that have survived it and how many of them are filling our pews on Sunday morning, suffering in silence under a shroud of guilt and shame. Many pastors and leaders see the high divorce rate, the troubled marriages, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse, pornography addiction and other self-destructive behaviors plaguing their congregants, but few have recognized the deeper issue that often lies at the root of these problems: the life-altering wound left in the wake of an unresolved abortion experience.

We at In Our Midst Ministries, Inc. are dedicated to bringing this awareness to the Church and equipping her to minister to the needs of those in our midst that carry the wounds created by abortion. To that end we are available for onsite trainings for church and ministry leaders and others interested in being Christ to these people. We are also available for ongoing consultations pertaining to abortion recovery programs and practices. Please contact us for more information about how we can serve you.
